- Take 2 kg pork ribs
- Get 400 g chopped tomatoes
- Get 5 garlic cloves
- Prepare 100 g soft brown sugar
- Prepare 75 ml maple syrup
- Get 150 ml ketchup
- Use 150 ml BBQ sauce
- Provide 150 ml Honey Jack Daniels whiskey
- Take 50 ml cider vinegar
- You need 2 tbsp black treacle
- Use 3 tbsp soy sauce

- Crush the garlic cloves and add all ingredients apart from the ribs into a pan

- Marinate the ribs and place in freezer bags or containers and refrigerate overnight
- Preheat the oven to 140c and place ribs into a roasting pan. Store remaining marinate for future steps
- Cover with tin foil and place in the oven for 3-3.5 hours
- Occasionally check the ribs while cooking and baste with some of the marinade
- Heat remaining marinade on the hob along with any juices from the ribs on a medium heat to thicken
- After the 3-3.5 hours transfer the ribs to the BBQ and apply the thickened marinade and cook until done (time varies on heat). Alternatively, increase oven temperature to 200c and cook for 20-30 minutes
