The ingredients needed to cook Rainbow Trout Teriyaki:
  1. Use 6 rainbow trout fillets
  2. You need 3 Tbsp potato starch
  3. Take oil for cooking trout
  4. Provide (for sauce)
  5. Provide 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  6. Provide 2 Tbsp sugar
  7. Use 4 Tbsp sake
  8. Provide 2 Tbsp water
  9. Provide 1/2 Tbsp ginger, grated
Instructions to make Rainbow Trout Teriyaki:
  1. Wash the trout gently with cold water and pat dry with clean paper towels.
  2. Sprinkle potato starch on the trout and coat each side of them.
  3. Put a pan over medium heat and warm the oil. Place the trout in it and cook about 3 mins with a lid.
  4. Flip the trout and cook about 2 more mins or until cooked through with a lid. Set aside.
  5. Place sauce ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and combine. Microwave 2 mins and dissolve sugar.
  6. Soak the trout in the sauce on both sides.
  7. Simmer them with the sauce and glaze. I didn't use oil for this step.
  8. Flip them and sprinkle some more sauce if needed. Cook until other side is glazed.
  9. Serve hot!
